Creating sandcastles

Made of desire

But the granules are starting

To melt in passions fire

The task was begun

In a place that would be

A trial for her hidden

For a while, she won't see

She watches the flames

As they engulf her work

She turns to her boyfriend

Is he actually a jerk?

In the wake of flames kisses

She gives him a chance

And she's rewarded at last

Because at her he'll glance

Who started the fire?

And how does it burn?

Well its just an example

Of how things can turn

She should have been wary

Right from the start

But he captured a feeling

And played at her heart

She thinks that he loves her

But it isnt true

He will tell her later

I couldn't love you

The danger is flickering

For now she's not sure

But one day she will know

And walk through the door

Of insight and wisdom

Self-preservation

The method of being

Her own self-creation

She won't be relying

On fantasy pure

She'll won't build flimsy castles

And only see through azure.
